I gained a Bachelor in Communications with a major in journalism at AUT before quickly discovering my niche in digital marketing at NZ Herald.

Soon after, I set off on my big OE and settled in England for a couple of years where I worked for a start-up company as a blogger, email marketer, app tester, and co-marketing strategist.

During my time in England I also worked for a marketing agency where I wrote press releases, scheduled social media content, did copywriting for SEO-optimised landing pages, and maintained GoogleAds.

All the while I continued my side hustle of writing promotional reviews for independent musicians and filmmakers on a dedicated blog. This led to other paid projects including blogging for companies, copywriting for their websites, and writing promotional material.

I returned to New Zealand and worked for a small, family-owned business as a marketing coordinator. Here, I fine-tuned my skills for organic and paid social media before being promoted to marketing manager. I planned and executed multiple marketing campaigns across every platform, taking advantage of every tool, and collaborating with various large and small brands. This included managing influencers, gathering data, and providing post-campaign reports.

I worked with a huge array of brands including Noel Leeming, multiple movie promoters, The Coffee Club, 2Degrees, Juno Kiwisaver, Caliwoods Eco, Celebration Box, Torpedo7, Domino’s, Neon… the list goes on!

Having gained so much experience, I launched and maintained our family joinery business. I designed everything from the website, logo, business cards and advertisements, to executing my marketing strategy across all platforms, maintaining our socials and GoogleAds, and being responsible for our customer service.

I’m excited to now pass on my knowledge, and support brands who need a hand with their marketing and online presentation.
